Our story
Welcome to the Potted Lobster
In November 2015, we started out as a small, bistro-style restaurant headed by local chef, Richard Sim. Serving fresh, local ingredients from the surrounding harbours and farms, we offer a relaxed dining Since then we have gone on to expand the restaurant to include a new dog-friendly area, organised a number of private catering events and have been included in both the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Michelin Guide. We’ve branched out with local trade, including a greater number of small suppliers in Northumberland; R Carter & Sons Butchers, Rigg & Furrow Brewery, Doddington’s Dairy and Bamburgh Walled Garden to name a few.
